B is for Baboon

This is for Inigo.

B is for Baboon

I’m a baboon

A b-brilliant baboon

And I am much better

than you’ll ever be

At all things that matter –

Just look, and you’ll see!

I can wave in the breeze

I can swing through the trees

Search for ticks in my hair

while I hang off a chair…

Can you?

I can sleep warm and tight

In a nest overnight

And I never fall out

or wake up with a shout

Can you?

I can sit in the rain

Let it cool off my brain

as I ponder the innermost inward

of things..

such as why does a bird?

and do fishes have wings?

Can you?

BUT

where I really score..

where I really have more..

where I really am ruder and cruder and dude-r

than you’ll ever be..

Is that I have a bum

that is great to behold!

A bum that is brighter!

A bum that is bold!

A bum of such bigness!

A bum of such red!

A bum that would get you

sent straight home to bed!

A bum biddy bum biddy bum biddy bum!

Do you?

Lovely stuff!

My grandsons would adore it – may I send it to them?
